Typography Layout
The Scope
Client: College
Project Type: Editorial Design
Compentencies: Photography, Typography, Layout, Composition
Software: InDesign, Photoshop
The Challenge
I was tasked with designing magazine layouts that explored the dynamic relationship between typography, color, layout structure, grid systems, and white space. Each design was shaped by the content itself, allowing it to guide both the visual style and composition. My primary goal was to present information clearly while keeping the layout visually compelling and engaging.
The Solution
For this assignemnt, I featured the work of Kehinde Wiley. His art is bold and detailed, so I had to be careful not to crop, distort, or take away from the original pieces. I focused on designing a layout that supported his work without distracting from it. By using clean white space, thoughtful image placement, and simple typography, I was able to let the artwork stand out while keeping the overall design balanced and clear.
